UNIX on the Desktop ?
Yep - after decades of Opensource development there is a great
choice of UNIX OS'es with drivers for most modern Devices and a huge
pile of
Applications. I mostly run Linux on my Laptops - since Solaris or BSD
are still not that usable when it comes to modern Hardware, Multimedia
or
Office Applications.
